Coldplay Portuguese Water Dogs are home-raised by Mitch and Katie Horowitz, ethical breeders with fifteen years of experience.
Our pups come from health and genetically tested parents and championship lineage.
Every puppy adoption includes a written purchase agreement, medical records, and AKC registration papers.

Adoption Logistics
We invite you to visit us and meet our Portie puppies in person at our 33-acre mini-farm nestled in the beautiful Appalachian mountains of Marshall, North Carolina.
If you want to stay for a weekend, there’s a nearby Airbnb and motel and activities in the area.
If visiting is not feasible, we can provide video of the puppies and bring your selection to you by vehicle or plane accompanied by a trustworthy human transporter.
If driving, he will provide you with tracking information, inform you of any delays, and send you video of the puppy being walked at rest stops. If flying, as soon as allowable, he will keep the puppy on his lap for the trip.
Puppy Fee
HOW IT WORKS:
1. The fee for a male or female purebred AKC-registered puppy ranges from $3,000 to $4,000 depending on various factors.
2. Payment can be made via cash, check, Zelle, or Venmo.
3. There is a $750 deposit, and the balance is due prior to taking possession of your selected pup.
4. After full payment is made, you are provided with a written purchase agreement, medical records, AKC registration papers, and all of the other complimentary items that come with a puppy adoption, which are listed above.
STUD SERVICE
If you are seeking a stud, then choosing the right breeder is paramount.
Coldplay Portuguese Water Dogs come from champion lineage, and we have fifteen years of experience providing studs for approved females.
The process typically includes a detailed conversation and agreement to bring your dog to our location for a 3-4 day stay in a pet-friendly Airbnb.
To ensure the best chance for conception, the dogs are brought together for two breeding sessions in a private, penned-in area where they are supervised by Mitch.
The stud service fee is $2,500, but in some cases we accept a puppy from your dog’s litter as payment. The terms are negotiable. Contact us to discuss your preference.
